Brisbane’s best street party is set to return in 2008 with its most interesting line up yet!

Taking place over the weekend of 12 to 14 September in the Valley precinct, Valley Fiesta is a celebration of food, fashion, dance, art and, most importantly, music. The Valley’s already legendary live music scene will be under the spotlight as scores of national and local acts descend on the area for three days of free outdoor entertainment.

To add to the atmosphere, the Valley’s many clubs, bars, venues, retail stores, emerging fashion, adventure travel outlets, markets, restaurants and businesses are coming to the party with a host of additional events that will literally leave punters with dozens of options as to what to do.

With the music industry’s eye already on Brisbane this September as part of Q Music’s Big Sound conference (a Valley Fiesta associated event), Fiesta is giving Brisbane’s emerging acts the opportunity to show conference delegates and the public their mettle, performing alongside established artists on the three Fiesta stages. Throw in to the mix cabaret, drag shows, fashion parades, buskers, dance, markets and of course lots of fun entertainment for the little ones and you begin to have a sense of what it is that makes The Valley so special.

The Valley Fiesta is held in the Valley Entertainment Precinct, as designated by the State Government and Brisbane City Council precinct since 1 July 2006. This hub includes 44 licensed bars, pubs and clubs and a further 100 licensed cafes, restaurants and businesses.
